Word maps

A word map is a good way of memorizing vocabulary.
Look at the example and do your own spidergram following the instructions.
1. Write a key word/s in the middle. Choose : animals or professions
2. Write other words which you associate with the key word.
3. Connect the words using the lines, like a spider's web.
4. You can add any other group of words related to the key word/s

Using the internet

Before using the internet in class, there are some words in English you have to know. Interactive English will help you with that.
Remember : you'll always work on line.

Task : Using the Internet

1. Download your individual diary for introductory unit.
2. Click on Virtual School and enter the classrooms.
3. Once in the classrooms Click on Level 1 (the blue book) and do the Introductory Unit : Using the Internet
4. Follow the instructions in your diary.Write down your score for each section.
   
5. When you finish save your individual diary in 3r ESOC. Use your surname as file name.

What is the Wikipedia?
If you have never used it, have a look at the following page.



Task : Discover Wikipedia

1. Do this activity in pairs.
2. Download one copy each pair of Exercise 1.
3. Look at the left column of the blog and find the link to Wikipedia.
   
4. Open the file Exercise 1 and read it.
5. Work on line and answer all the questions.
6. Check your work before handing in.
